Ovarian cancer (OC) is the leading cause of gynecological cancer-related deaths in the U.S. Approximately 70% of cases are epithelial ovarian carcinomas, most commonly high-grade serous OC. Cytoreductive surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy ± bevacizumab remain standard of care treatment approaches, while PARP inhibitors are now well established as maintenance therapy for select frontline and recurrent platinum-sensitive populations. More recently, the emergence of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) has reshaped the treatment landscape for advanced platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (PROC) and accelerated broader investment in ADCs across ovarian cancer. Current pipeline development is increasingly focused on novel targets, immunotherapy combinations, and next-generation maintenance strategies.
